The forum will feature speakers from other cities sharing their experiences on how they established land-based development and policy to promote urban agriculture, and give an overview of Philadelphia’s current farm and policy initiatives This event is an opportunity to learn from some exemplary models of how we can increase access to fresh food, promote sustainable agriculture, and promote policy-friendly initiatives for growing the grange.

The goals of the Center for Environmental Policy (CEP) at The Academy of Natural Sciences are to evaluate key issues of environmental policy, facilitate dialogues and decision-making on environmental topics, and inform the public from both an academic as well as practical perspective. The CEP will answer the need for a non-partisan, science-based organization that is capable of accessing and guiding a myriad of public and private stakeholders.
